The new season of EUROPE BUILDS Podcast is here—in collaboration with Doers Summit🎙️
More stories, new perspectives, recorded live.
When we launched EUROPE BUILDS, our goal was simple: to capture the real stories behind startups in Europe — the ones that shape the ecosystem.
Season 1 proved we were onto something. Founders opened up. Listeners connected. And it became clear there’s a hunger for conversations that go beyond the surface.
So when we headed to Doers Summit, the plan was modest: record a few highlights, maybe turn them into one or two special episodes. But the moment the mics went on, we knew we had something bigger. The energy and the insights were real — and every guest brought a perspective worth sharing.
That’s why Season 2 is different.
It's live, it’s unfiltered, and it goes beyond founders — bringing operators and investors into the conversation too.
EUROPE BUILDS was always about what’s really happening in the European startup scene. Season 2 just gets us closer to that truth.
Expect real stories about:
Navigating acquisitions, pivots, and scaling under pressure
Managing teams through chaos and growth
What fundraising actually looks like right now from both sides of the table
The bets that paid off—and the ones that didn’t
Launching Season 2: Friday, March 28 with the Co-Founder and CEO of Skroutz
We’re kicking things off with George Hadjigeorgiou, Co-founder & CEO of Skroutz, Greece’s biggest e-commerce marketplace. George shares what 20 years of building taught him—and why making peace with failure was the key to surviving and thriving.
➡️ The episode will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts & YouTube, on the 28th after 12pm.
What’s new — and why it matters
For Season 2, we took EUROPE BUILDS to the ground at DOERS Summit — right into the heart of Europe’s startup crowd.
Instead of talking through an online platform, we had a booth. Instead of planned takes, we had real conversations. And for the first time, we brought not just founders, but also operators and investors into the room. Because building a company doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s shaped by the push and pull between those who start things, those who grow them, and those who back them.
We’re incredibly thankful to the Doers team for opening their doors to us and helping bring this to life. Nothing compares to a live exchange — and having an audience right outside listening in, reacting in real time, made these episodes more grounded and real.

And why Europe? Because it builds — and it builds well. Yes, scaling still has its barriers, and the storytelling isn’t always loud enough. But talent is here. Ideas are here. And the stories being written across the continent are anything but small. It’s time they’re heard.
Tune in, lean in
Season 2 of EUROPE BUILDS kicks off this Friday with George Hadjigeorgiou, co-founder of Skroutz, in a conversation about failure, scaling, and what it really takes to build a category-defining business.
Follow the series. Share it with someone building. And if you're shaping something yourself, consider this your field guide.
About EUROPE BUILDS
EUROPE BUILDS is a podcast uncovering the untapped knowledge within the European startup ecosystem. Every episode dives into topics like PMF finding, scaling challenges, funding hurdles, managing boards —through straightforward conversations with those living it daily: visionary founders across the continent. At the DOERS Summit, we created a space for open and honest dialogue with founders, operators and investors - in European ground. Our live podcast recordings tap into the unshared business wisdom that's typically locked behind closed doors, to help the next wave of European leaders to be a part of the global map.
